Just when new alliances start to solidify, Jeff Probst announces the Survivor 2014 merge! With all the remaining loved ones together, will the blood vs. water theme start to get played out?  Find out who gets eliminated on tonight’s Survivor 2014 Live Recap!

Survivor 2014 Week 7 Recap

Last week on Survivor 2014, Coyopa continued to do poorly in challenges.  Dale knew he was on the chopping block, so he decided to show Jon his “immunity idol.”  He doesn’t really have an idol, but the trinket he took off the watering hole looks eccentric enough to fool people.  Dale even told Jon if he keeps him around for one more vote, he’d give it to him!

Dale’s pleas didn’t work.  Jon and Jaclyn sided with Missy and Baylor once again.  Dale was eliminated on Survivor 2014 last week.

On tonight’s Survivor 2014 Blood vs Water, two tribes will become one!  The night the contestants all wait for is finally here; the merge.  Will blood stick with blood, or will things get ugly when it comes to staying in the game?

To start tonight’s Survivor 2014, Coyopa discussed the previous night’s tribal council.  Baylor and Missy wrote Keith’s name down; he was very confused and upset by it.  Missy told him they did it in order to flush an idol out of Dale.  Keith was unsure about the women and didn’t see why they just couldn’t have told him that.  Keith may not have to worry about what to do about Missy and Baylor.  The tribes got tree mail revealing it was time to merge!

Both tribes hiked to a location where they were greeted at their new camp with a feast and an overall joy to have made it to the Survivor 2014 merge.  The new tribe (Huyopa) stayed at the former Coyopa camp.  Julie struggled a little seeing all the loved ones together.  She went to Jeremy and Jeremy worked on getting a few couples to join their alliance.  He approached Jon and Missy.  That would give them a strong seven as an alliance:  Jon, Jaclyn, Missy, Baylor, Natalie, Julie and  Jeremy.

Josh and Reed knew that would need to worry about Jeremy in the merge.  Their tactic, couples stick together.  Josh told Baylor if she comes with them, they would have the numbers.  The two have been aligned from the beginning, but now it looks like she is going to turn her back on her.  Missy showed no sympathy when it came to Baylor feeling bad about going against Josh.  Her instructions: tell everyone “I need to talk to my mom.”

Josh’s next strategy was to approach Jon and Jaclyn.  He told them Jeremy is a big threat because if he gets to the final three, people are more likely to give the fireman the money.  Jon and Jaclyn are in the driver’s seat again!

While Julie was sun bathing, the rest of the tribe went on a hunt for the missing trail mix everyone brought back from the feast.  Julie stashed hers away, while everyone else already ate all of theirs.  They found her stash and ate a bunch of it while she was gone.  Could hoarding the trail mix get her voted off Survivor 2014?

Immunity challenge:  Balance a ball on a disc held up by ropes each contestant held.  At intervals they had to move their hands up their ropes.  A second ball was added to the disc after two ten minute rounds.  The last person balancing their ball wins immunity. Every movement and every gust of wind caused the balls to move around.

Jeremy was the first to drop his ball.  Missy and Julie dropped with ball right before the first round ended.  In the second round: Reed, Baylor, Alec, and Jaclyn were knocked out.  Natalie was next.

Final four: Josh, Wes, Keith, and Jon.  A second ball was added to the discs for the final round.  Josh was out right away and Jon wasn’t far behind.  It came down to father and son.  They were both struggling, but Keith won the first individual immunity on Survivor 2014.

Julie was feeling the pressure with the trail mix comments, not having her boyfriend, and just feeling down.  She wanted to throw in the towel, but Missy asked her to stick it out for another day.  They needed her for the vote at tribal.

Jeremy’s alliance planned to vote for Josh.  Josh and Keith took another shot at getting Jon and Jaclyn on their side.  Jon wanted to jump ship and vote with the couples.  Will Jon and Jaclyn stick with their plan and vote out Jeremy?

They might not get a chance!  Julie asked Jeff to come talk to her.  Julie was overwhelmed with the idea of being away from her boyfriend even longer.  They haven’t spent more than four days apart, so feeling like she’s already out of the game, only made her decision easier.  Julie quit Survivor 2014 last night.  Her alliance was worried about losing the “numbers” and tribe as a whole was upset with her.  There was no tribal council.  What do you think about Julie’s decision?
